Imac Ssd Temperature Sensor Fix

The imac hard drive has an integrated temperature sensor the imac fans will run at full speed if you replace the hdd without the temperature sensor and or proper connector.

Following these instructions i simply replaced my hdd with an ssd. If you dont buy the thermal sensor a bypass that work most of the time is hdd fan control app that you will need to install after the ssd installation is complete and if the fans are raving. I simply diconnected the cable that normally connects between the hdd temp sensor socket on the main logic board and the hdd from the hdd but leaving it plugged into the logic board. I ve booted from an el capitan installer flash drive formatted the ssd and am installing el cap as i write this.
