Has anyone else had this problem or know of a setting i. Replaced the door. I never lock my doors with the key fob but always lock it with the door button. I replaced the battery but that don t fix the issue.

I would think that if the door button locks the doors then it is not the tipm but the remote key module which is separate. The 2016 jeep cherokee has 2 problems reported for power door lock not working. The spare key will work fine. They were fine checked on line forums and found that the wcm wireless control module controls both door locks the tire pressure reading.

The only other thing is it usually says that the key is in ignition even when its been removed. In my case i would probably never know there was an issue. The key that has been in the ignition will not lock doors or unlock. Neither key fob worked.

Get in your car and lock the door manually. You did not mention whether the door button to lock the doors worked or not. I bought my 4 dr. Drivers side door will not unlock with key fob.

If your vehicle uses this method you will notice the exterior and interior lights flash. There should be a release button or catch in the remote pressing which will pop out the spare key. If you close and open your car door with the smart fob this key is likely to be hidden inside the fob. We changed batteries in both fobs and disconnected the battery to reset.

It is hit and miss at times and right now i m forced to manually lock unlock which would be alright if it wasn t a new vehicle.
